It has been quite some time since I last wrote a letter to users of this site; a lot has changed in the interim.
This morning (Feb 26, 2009) I received a review copy of my new book, ‘Tai Chi Chuan - Decoding the Classics for the Modern Martial Artist’ (ISBN 978-1-84797-084-8).
It will retail at £14.99 and can be ordered from Amazon or from The Crowood Press or via your local bookstore or library. It should be generally available from April There are more than 170 illustrations - most in full colour. The book deals with the concept of ‘classics’ in Chinese culture, especially from a martial perspective.
The five major TCC Classics, the Classic of Boxing and the Tai Chi Diagram Explanation are translated and given illustrated explanations. The approach is how to do the Classics.
For reasons of space, I have asked Daniel Vatier to open a new section on the website specifically relating to this material and including the bibliography, roll of honour and Chinese texts for the TCC Classics which for reasons of space could not be in the book.
I hope the righteous like it. As for the great unsoaped, I care not what they think.
