1.  How (and when) did you start?
I started training Tai chi 1998 in another style until my teacher at that time passed away from cancer 2003. After a long search and meeting many different teachers I met my current teacher Paul Silfverstråle 2005. Which I am very grateful for.

2.  Why Practical Tai Chi Chuan?
I have been training Krav maga since 1983 and Yang style Tai chi since 1998.

When I met PTCC I was impressed of how theory and practical usage weaved into each other.

The system is very wide and is covering many aspects within the martial arenas (bare hands, weapons etc).  I felt how the system aspects all came together connected and made sense to me.

A movement you will do with a sabre, you also be used in pushing hands. Or a stance you practise in Nei gong will also appear in Sanshou, etc. Similar techniques or stepping routines repeat in different aspects of the art.

I am very grateful for Dans knowledge and generosity with it. I am lucky to have had the chance to train with Dan quite a bit the last few years and he has always been open and willing to share his knowledge with me.

3. What is your favourite technique - and why?(in 50 words)

My favourite technique would have to be “Giant Python turning its body”in the Nei gong because of its end result and how it flows while executing it.

 4. One piece of advice or knowledge you would like to give to fellow practitioners:

Practice every day! Every day even if it’s only a few minutes, still, find the time to do it.

Tai chi is a way of life, it has to have a high priority in your life if you want to get somewhere with it.

5.  How do you train now?

I train daily and depending on the weather I’ll train indoors or out in the forest.
The training usually consists of Nei gong, Ji ban gong, weapons and hand form.
